Welcome to my new website/blog!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my new site.  I have recently transferred all of the posts at PrayerServant over to this permanent blog site.  Many people ask me if they can share my site with those who are affected by cancer, so I figured it was time to set up a permanent place for all of my posts.

For those of you new to the word “blog”, it is simply a shortened version of the word “weblog”.  A weblog is a log of posts that are written by the author; in this case, I’m the author.  So, it’s not a fancy concept.  It’s just an easy way to communicate with others, so I’m taking advantage of this particular site.

My friends at PrayerServant have been so wonderful to keep my page there up and running.  I want to say thank you to them and for the support they gave me and continue to give to many others.  They have dealt with their own health crisis this year and have been an encouragement to so many even in the midst of their own struggle.

I have been doing very well.  Since my last post, I have actually had two more surgeries (reconstruction-related) that were pretty uneventful.  I hope that they are all behind me and I can have a long time without any more trips to the hospital.  Kurt had hernia surgery in December, so at least we got to visit the nurses that we’ve gotten to know in the recovery room!

Feel free to check back here occasionally, if you’d like.  I won’t be alerting the media when I post on this site, so if you’d like to check out what is going on with our family, stay tuned!  I’ll continue to write here about various things as our lives slowly return to ‘normal’.  As I’ve said before, it’s a ‘new normal’ – one that God is using to continually shape us.

Blessings,

Stephanie
