Update 4/19/05

Hopefully many of you will come here rather than waiting for an e-mail from me. Our computer crashed and I had to take it somewhere to try to get all of my data off of it. So, I don't have any e-mail addresses or old e-mails, but we're hoping that it is a temporary problem!

I did want to let you all know that I'm not actually having surgery this Thursday. It's been a roller coaster ride, but it is really a good thing that has delayed it this time. I am pretty anxious to get it done, but some more research needs to be done on my part in order to make sure I am making the right decisions. Sorry to be so vague, but that's about all I can share with you right now. Just be assured it has nothing to do with the cancer and I am doing great!

I have been slowly returning to 'normal' life and it's been so good to be back! I have had quite a few strangers say that they really like my hairdo, which has been really funny. I did tell a few of them that they wouldn't want to go the same route I did in order to get this 'do' – ha!

God continues to bless us in so many ways. Thank you so much for your prayers, cards and encouraging messages. God has used you all to lift us up and help us through these past 10 months. Can you believe it's almost a year since this all started? In some ways it feels like it was yesterday and, in others, like it's been years. I'm thankful that God's timing is perfect and very different than ours! He is never early or never late – He's always perfectly on time. That's a great comfort to me.

I'll continue to keep you up to date. In the next few days, we hope to get our new computer up and running so I feel back in touch with you all!
