Off to surgery – August 5, 2004

I thought of a couple of other things to keep in prayer:

1. Please pray for Colby especially – he is very sensitive and has been affected greatly by this situation. He is very attached to me and seems to actually feel everything I feel. So, pray that he trusts God and can see the answers when we come out the other side.

2. Please pray for my healing after surgery. Of course, there can be complications with any type of surgery, so pray that these things (infection, etc.) would be eliminated.

Please also continue to pray for the other items mentioned the other day. I know that you are all faithfully praying, so I just thought I'd share these new thoughts with you knowing that they will be lifted up to God.

Here are a couple of verses that have been helpful to me this week:

Deuteronomy 31:8 The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

Isaiah 41:13 For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, "Do not fear; I will help you."

As I've shared before, I know that God is with me and He has been so faithful to show me His presence this month. I know He will be holding my hand as I'm in surgery!
