Invitation and News – September 14, 2005

I haven't written for a long time, so I though I would give you a little update and let you know about something special that is coming up this month.

I am doing really well – lots of energy and feeling great! I continue to receive my Herceptin treatment each week, but it has such minimal side effects (I'm tired for the rest of the afternoon the day of treatment). My last treatment is scheduled for the week of November 7, so we are eagerly awaiting that day.

On September 24, I will be speaking at a Breast Cancer Awareness event. It is a women's ministry event being held at our church in Covington, so I want to invite all of you ladies (sorry guys!). I will be sharing about my cancer experience and how I've found purpose through my battle. It begins at 9:30 a.m. at Lake Sawyer Christian Church. The address is 28525 216th Ave SE, Covington.

I hope many of you can come – it would be a great event to invite others who have been affected by cancer. (It's hard to find anyone who HASN'T been affected.) So, bring a friend who needs to hear some hope!

Also, we are forming our 2nd annual walking team. We're walking in the "Walk for Hope" in Seattle on October 2. If you would like more information, go to our team page at Name of Link. We would love to have anyone who is able (children included!) to walk with us. It will be a great day!
