First chemo – Sept. 13
Well, I just finished a nap after coming home from my first chemo treatment. I feel drowsy, but other than that, am not feeling any other side effects at this point.The drugs that they gave me to combat side effects are pretty extensive. They are given at the time of treatment and then I also take them at home for the next few days. The idea is to head off any nausea before it would even start. And if it does, I have drugs for that, too!
Thank you so much for your prayers today. I know it gave me strength while I was having my treatment. I had anticipated such a difficult time just being there and I felt so comfortable. The nurses at Swedish are very upbeat, friendly and accommodating.
Well, I did want to update you tonight. I think I'll go back to sleep now! Thank you for continuing to pray through the next few days that I won't experience any side effects.
