August 6 – Post Surgery update

Surgery lasted about 5 hours. The doctors were very pleased with the way surgery went. They were able to locate the sentinel node and removed it along with four others. Unfortunately, the sentinel node tested positive for cancer. My surgeon removed about 5-7 more after the test results were known. We'll know by Tuesday the status of the other nodes.

I felt so covered in prayer yesterday and still do. Please continue to pray about the status of the nodes that were removed. I still feel peaceful because I know God is in control. My prayer is for Him to be glorified through this whole process as everyone sees His answers.

I hope to be able to come home tonight depending on how the rest of the day goes. Please continue to pray that I will sleep. Thank you so much!
